No, this is one of the most common misconceptions about credit. Checking your credit score will never negatively affect your credit. All SmartCredit does is compile your existing information from Experian, Equifax, and Transunion in one setting.

SmartCredit allows us to use a complex system to compile a full credit report audit on your behalf. Within the report, you will see any and all negative items on your report (charge-offs, collections, late payments, repossessions, etc). During our call, we will go over the comprehensive audit together.

While we try to remove inaccurate, unfounded, out of date, false, and erroneous information as quickly as possible, it is impossible to give an exact timeline as each case is different. The more items we are fighting to remove, the longer it may take. A general timeline is between 3-9 months, though sometimes it may take a bit longer or even shorter timeframe. You are likely to see improvements to your credit within the first 2 months.
